Bank_Of_GhanaThe Bank of Ghana is expected to issue a five year bond in June this year.

The Government through the central bank is hoping to raise 200 million cedis to pay previous debts that are maturing. This is contained in a Calendar for Government Securities published on the website of the Bank of Ghana. This will be the second bond issue for this year after the February three-year bond.

In all, the central bank is hoping to raise 8.5 million Ghana cedis for the second and third quarters of this year from the sale of government securities.

This should bring the total amount government wants to raise from the domestic market by September this year to 11.1 million Ghana Cedis.
