The Central Securities Depository (CSD), formerly an internal unit of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has been incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank, according to a news release issued by the Bank in Accra, yesterday.A seven-member Board of Directors has therefore, been appointed to manage the company as an autonomous body corporate.

The Board, the release indicates, has Dr. H. A. Kofi Wampah, First Deputy Governor of the BoG, as Chairman.Other members of the Board are Mr. Stephen K. Tetteh, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. David O. Andoh, Mr.  Daniel Kobla Glymin, Mr. George Katako, Mr. Kwame Adutua-Amakye and Mrs. Caroline Otoo.

The CSD offers registry services for the Government of Ghana, the BoG and other secondary market institutions. It will also manage the infrastructure for the issue of debt securities at the primary market.Source: ISD (G.D. Zaney)
