INVESTMENT IN TREASURY BILLS THROUGH MERCHANT BANK GHANA LTD
It has come to the notice of the Central Securities Depository (GH) Ltd that some people are going about misinforming the public that their investments in Treasury Bills and other Government of Ghana Bonds made through Merchant Bank will be lost due to the current happenings in the Bank.
We wish to inform investors in Government of Ghana Bills and Bonds in general and clients of Merchant Bank in particular that their investments are held at the Central Securities Depository which maintains all the records. In the event of the collapse of a Bank or participant, investments made through that participant/Bank are moved to another participant/Bank.We wish to assure investors in Treasury Bills and Bonds that their securities are safe with the Central Securities Depository, no matter the Bank through whom they operate. The public should therefore ignore the false information going round.
