Ghana will issue its second 7-year domestic bond this month.

The bond is to be issued on the 21st of November, 2013.

This is the second 7-year bond been issued by the Bank of Ghana in the history of the country; the first was issued in August this year.

The first GHC 100 million seven year bond was used to restructure debts, benchmark subsequent bonds and also finance capital project.

This month’s bond will be open to both local and international investors.

The Bank of Ghana has already floated a three-year and five-year bonds traded over-the-counter by banks and are also listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange for secondary trading this year.

Ghana sold 600 million cedis five-year bonds in September, according to the Bank of Ghana, following on three sales of three-year debt in the first half of the year.

All bonds have so far been heavily subscribed.
